Nicole gave me the best massage of my life!! I've been to so many massage places and WOW WOW WOW she was so good, and I only had time for a 30min window. If you are in the area would highly recommend. Pro tip: bring cash for payment and tip

I have a knot at the right side of my back. It happened without a sign. Like the sudden rain in New York summer days. Last week, it announced dysfunction like a kid and that brought me two sleepless nights. I'd need to hold my breathe every single time before I stand up. My girlfriend said her grandma has the exact same problem. Her grandma is 95. I'm 25. WuXing refers to the concept of Five Phases - Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth - that provided explanations across fields in ancient China. My self-diagnosis is I have too much "fire" in my body which causes the pain. I know my Mom would agree. I lay down on my stomach in a clean, dimly lit message room as the lady politely asked before walking in. I felt her warm, big hands and message oil on my shoulder. I discovered soon that trying to get relaxed is the least relaxing thing - I can't help thinking about the deadlines approaching. Some other thoughts came to me. Why haven't my manger responded to my email? How was my presentation in the morning? ... And Why the heck my back hurts so badly? I'm just 25. The lady's hands moved to where it hurts as if she knew what I'm thinking. My muscles got tight. I struggled to get up a bit and explained to her how bad it hurts, and I've tried a million ways. "It might be spinal disc herniation," I announced, hesitantly, "I'm not 100% sure but two of my coworkers have it..." "You will be fine. It's time to get some rest now." I heard her voice, a soft whisper, in Chinese accent, like Mom's. I fell asleep in a minute. I felt relieved when I walked out of WuXing. I looked back at the storefront, the skeptical kind that I'd not walk straight into without a friend's recommendation. I recalled the lady's words and her warm, big hands. Maybe that's simply what me and my body needed - a nap, a sense of belonging, and an assurance that everything will be fine. A break from the busy street of New York where my knot tied a little bit day by day. A long-awaited me time. Thank you, WuXing.
