I had a very mixed experience at this practice. The nurse and the PA, Maxine Klempner, were both kind and helpful during my actual appointment, and I did receive some good skincare recommendations and treatment. Unfortunately, almost everything surrounding the visit itself felt disorganized and unprofessional. First, the office cleanliness was concerning. There was visible hair and dust on the floors, and the patient chair was haphazardly covered with what looked like puppy pee pads, which felt unsanitary and uncomfortable during the exam. My skin inadvertently made contact with the chair in between the pads. I was also uncomfortable that I was asked to undress down to my underwear and wear a gown without anyone first checking whether I was okay having a male nurse present. That should absolutely be standard practice in a dermatology office. The provider also appeared to be juggling multiple patients simultaneously because she was the only doctor on staff at the time, which felt unfair to both patients and the doctor herself. The biopsy/results process was especially frustrating. After the doctor expressed concern about a wart that was removed, no one at checkout explained when or how I would receive results. I had to go back and ask myself. I was told results would take two weeks and that I would need to call in myself, which already felt unusual. A week later, I called and learned the results were actually ready, but no doctor was available to discuss them. I was promised a callback that never came. The same thing happened the following day. Eventually, Matthew at the front desk helped me submit a release form so I could access the pathology report directly instead of continuing to wait anxiously. He was genuinely helpful, but the overall process was convoluted and stressful. I also had repeated issues simply trying to get an itemized receipt for my FSA. Different employees gave me conflicting information about whether my payment and even my email address existed in the system. One final thing that really put me off: the office uses an AI phone assistant, and it's extremely uncanny and impersonal. Combined with the other operational issues, it gave the impression that the practice prioritizes cutting costs over patient experience. Overall, while some individual staff members were great, the office management and systems need serious improvement. I will not be returning.

I was seen fast and was able to speak in details with the doctor and her assistant about what my concerns were. I left my visit extremely happy and with lots of hope...
