First of all, what really threw me off was that during my appointment, a staff member came into the room and began a casual conversation with my dermatologist, Nilufer Dermirkan, that was unrelated to my visit. This convo lasted about 30 seconds, and neither of them acknowledged or apologized for the interruption. As a patient, that felt VERY disrespectful, dismissive, and unprofessional. I don't care if it was for 1 second, you don't just walk into a room when someone is seeing a patient just to chit chat about things that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me or my appointment. Like, are you kidding me? Now onto the appointment, I had my first dermatology appointment here today, on February 19, 2026, with a dermatologist named Nilufer Demirkan. The check-in process and wait time were reasonable, and the medical assistant who brought me in was pleasant. However, my experience with the dermatologist felt unresolved and a bit impersonal. There was no real introduction, and I didn't receive much guidance or detailed information about my skin concerns beyond being told it "wasn't bad." I was hoping for more thorough recommendations or a treatment plan, especially regarding dark spots. The doctor did recommend products for my concerns, but they were all out-of-pocket purchases rather than prescriptions or options covered by insurance. I would have appreciated a clearer discussion about insurance-covered treatments or a more comprehensive plan before being directed toward higher-cost products. Overall, the visit felt very minimal and not particularly patient-centered. I left without a clear plan or the sense that my concerns were fully addressed. I'm very unsatisfied, and I won't be returning.

Everyone in the office was an absolute angel while I juggled two babies, they took me in quickly and offered an immediate solution to my problem! Thank you very much for being so accommodating and helpful.
