Dr. Shaigany is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Dermatology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell. She also serves as Co-director of the Inpatient Dermatology Consultative Service and as an Attending Physician for the Cutaneous Toxicities to Chemotherapies Program in partnership with the Monter Cancer Center. Dr. Shaigany has an undergraduate degree in Theater from Northwestern University and worked as a professional actor in New York prior to switching to a career in medicine. UPDATE - 11/11/2025 - The office staff is the most unsympathetic staff anywhere. 9 months ago my Stage IV cancer patient wife had a really bad experience with this office. Dr. Shaigany did what she could to make up for this issue & we appreciated it. Fast forward to last Tuesday, my wife had a follow up appointment, with a different doctor Dr Sarah Noor. in the office, to address side effects from cancer treatments she's taking. My wife's doctor's office sent a referral, however, the office said the didn't receive it. We confirmed with the primary doctor that this was sent. Last time this happened my wife signed a waiver & we ended up fighting a $1,000 bill. We have insurance, and provided all we could for the referral. It's very disheartening when an individual is working and fighting for her life and the unsympathetic office displays a "I couldn't care less attitude". Last time, they said to tell the doctor so it wouldn't happen again. When my wife told the staff, the staff replied the doctor said no. So feeling defeated, my wife left for the second time without any help. This review is not for Dr. Shaigany, it's for her unprofessional office staff. Shameful... Update, 1/29/2025.... I appreciate that Dr. Shaigany stepping up and addressing the problems with my wife's previous experiences with this office and making it right. It was a welcomed experience during a tough time. Thank you... This office is horrible. My wife is battling Stage IV Kidney cancer and the office staff does not return calls ever. She's trying to get a refill of Dupixent and she's been waiting for a month. The office said she needed an appointment to get a new prescription, so the day of the appointment, the office staff then says she needs a referral. We were unaware of this because they didn't inform us of this. When told, by the staff that this is the patients responsibility, we informed them that my wife was recovering from surgery a month ago and that we didn't know. Horrible communication skills with this office. The sad part is my wife has a severe itching due to the immunotherapy treatments. Worst than that she still doesn't have a refill prescription. This deplorable treatment of my wife is causing her to suffer and the worst part is that my children get to see my wife suffer.

I just had a visit with Dr.Shiela Shaigany-what a disappointment that was . Her P.A. did better then her. I went to see her about my nails.I was having trouble with my nails,when I answered her questions she blankly told me she didn't believe me. Well that is her problem not mine if I'm seeking medical help and you as the dr. Dont believe me , then I'm actually wasting my time with you. Bottom line she told me to take pics of my nails so she can believe how they were breaking. Bottom line I DO NOT recommend this Dr. at all....she had no idea how to treat me...thumbs down to her
