At the beginning of 2025 I had made two promises to myself. First, that I would pursue breast reduction surgery in order to reduce my breast cancer risk. Secondly, that I would find a female surgeon to assist me. I found Dr. Naidu online and made that first nervous call to her office. I had a lovely chat with Nadeene, her patient coordinator, and I was on my way. Dr. Naidu was my first and only consultation. She is kind, explanatory and specializes in breast surgery. I knew that I had found my person. Dr. Naidu is supported in her office by a wonderful team of women. Her nurse Anna is warm, knowledgeable and skilled; I always looked forward to seeing her both pre and post op. Post-surgery, Anna assisted with several things including lymphatic drainage which feels lovely. Anna was receptive to my questions post-surgery and I felt so incredibly cared for. Nadeene and Eliana have been exceedingly helpful in dealing with insurance reimbursement and keeping me on task for both pre and post op requirements. Breast reduction is a multi-step process but Dr. Naidu and team guided me through each appointment, answering the gamut of questions both clinical and non. I had put this surgery off for years, but in hindsight this was such a positive experience, even with a very rare post op wrinkle in my recovery. I would be remiss not to mention that in addition to the cancer risk reduction, the new shape and size of my breasts are just beautiful. Exercising post reduction is just one of the many positives from this surgery. I would do it all over again with Dr. Naidu and team and would encourage women considering this type of surgery to give Dr. Naidu a call.
