I struggle with acne scarring and booked a new patient acne consultation. The doctor entered the room, said she does not specialize in acne scarring, and promptly left the room (didn't allow for any questions). The entire interaction was less than 3 minutes. She sent me off with a tretinoin sample, yet no instruction around how to use it (I have since learned it is a strong topical treatment that can cause peeling and flaking if applied incorrectly). I work a client facing job and came to the derm to improve my facial texture, but her carelessness nearly resulted in a worse, potentially dangerous situation had I not googled what she prescribed. She seemed too busy to stay for a real consultation, or even to direct me to the right place. Waste of time and money.
