I want to share my experience at Meraki Laser Studio, Queens, specifically with aesthetician Mayra Halliday. I had an emergency and needed to reschedule, and I was charged a $40 cancellation fee even though I never agreed to such a policy. I asked for a one-time waiver since I had accommodated her schedule changes in the past, but after that, communication became difficult. It took multiple reminders to reschedule, and the new date was so far out that I lost two sessions. The day before my appointment, she asked if she should cancel. I confirmed I would attend, yet she canceled the day of, saying I did not confirm. I had responded to her text, but she later said confirmation had to be done through the app, which was never clearly communicated. Overall, the changing rules and poor communication felt very unprofessional.
