Dr. Naidorf is extremely nice and thorough but I have had the WORST time dealing with the receptionist in the front desk that handles scheduling/processing of payment. To begin, the day of the appointment I had to wait around 1.5 hours after my appointment time because they were backed up. If they had called ahead of time to tell me that, I would have come in later instead of sitting there twiddling my thumbs for so long. Second, the receptionist is sitting there where everyone can hear her muttering to herself (as she is processing payments, I am assuming) about which person has which insurance ("oh, this lady has Medicaid and this person has blue cross blue shield"), and I thought that was quite strange. Third, they do not take cards but when I first made the appointment, the receptionist only mentioned that they didn't take cards for any copay payments (which made it sound like they don't take cards for the initial payment but you can pay the remaining of the bill later on with one), instead of straight out saying that they have a strictly cash/check policy for everything which doesn't help if you're paying with an HSA card. Third, even though my claim was approved almost immediately after the appointment, I have not received the bill with the remaining balance for the visit. I called around 3 weeks later asking for it, and the receptionist got very snippy with me telling me it was so and so amount like I had received the bill, which she clearly knew I hadn't gotten because I mentioned it at the beginning of the call. This is when I proceeded to ask if I could pay over the phone with my card, and when I was finally informed that I could only pay with cash or check. I asked for the bill to be sent to my house so I could send in the payment through mail (and not have to stop by again) and have record of the bill for the visit, and the receptionist told me very rudely she would as soon as she could. Fast forward another few weeks, I still haven't gotten the bill. I finally stopped by the office to give them a check, and they were closed. I have NEVER had to work so hard for someone to take my money. Their whole system is outdated, and if you don't want the hassle of having to work to pay for your bill, I really recommend you go somewhere else until they decide to update their system.

Dr. Naidorf is thorough and caring. Every healthcare professional I know chooses her for their dermatology check-ups. She makes all of the top-Docs survey because of the well-placed trust people have in her. The receptionist is a lovely woman and part of the experience, in my opinion. Yes, the office only takes checks - when I forgot one year, they billed me. I feel fortunate to be Dr. Naidorf's patient.
