- Unacceptable Elevator Failure at Medical Facility Puts Patients at Risk I recently visited this building for a post-operative follow-up appointment after ankle arthroscopy surgery. I arrived on crutches, wearing a medical walking boot, expecting a safe, ADA-compliant environment. Instead, I encountered a completely non-functional elevator, forcing me to climb two full flights of marble stairs -- in the middle of a hot summer day -- with no assistance, no signage, and no accessible alternative. The elevator's "up" button was physically obstructed, covered by a paper sign written only in Korean, instructing users to press the "down" button to call the elevator. Not only is that confusing and exclusionary, it's non-compliant with accessibility standards. Multiple patients in the waiting area also told me the elevator has been glitching or broken for weeks, often routing to the wrong floor or requiring multiple button presses. This isn't just an inconvenience -- it's a serious safety hazard for anyone with mobility challenges. The stairs are slick, smooth marble, and I had no choice but to climb up on my backside, dragging my crutches behind me. Had I slipped and injured my only weight-bearing leg, it could have resulted in hospitalization, further surgery, or worse. This facility services patients recovering from surgery, with chronic pain, disabilities, and limited mobility -- yet management has done nothing meaningful to address this issue. A paper sign is not a solution. A broken elevator in a medical office building is not just frustrating -- it's dangerous, negligent, and potentially a violation of ADA accessibility laws. I've attached photos showing the elevator, the blocked button, and the unsafe stairwell I was forced to climb. I hope this review brings immediate attention to an issue that is long overdue for correction. Until fixed, I strongly discourage anyone with mobility concerns from visiting this building without assistance.

If you value your health, even more your LIFE - DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!! Their attention to patients is not geared towards patient safety. My husband was there 10/2013 and was discharged by himself less than an hour after back surgery, while he was under the effects of anesthesia. I arrived to find him on the curb, YES - the sidewalk on Lemoine Ave!! He was unaware he spilled a cup of hot coffee on himself, that's how loopy he still was. Two days later we get a call to "check up on him." I expressed my complaint to the facility mgr who directed me to State of NJ, to whom I also filed my complaint. But to this day, have not heard back from anyone. Too late did I find out this facility has had members indicted for deaths of patients, they chnged their name since those. Beware!!
